Community Meeting

The next community meeting will be held on Monday, May 2, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. at the Clubhouse.

A Special Thanks

Boulevard Park Improvement Assoc. would like to say "Thank You" to Mr. and Mrs. Telford for their generous contribution of $1,000 for the Playground Fund. Without residents of this generous nature, we would not meet our goal of $5,000. We currently have in excess of $1,700 in our fund. Please, if you could donate $5, $10, or even $20 extra dollars, we should be able to have our new playground up and enjoying it before the end of summer. Thank you again Mr. and Mrs. Telford and everyone else who has donated to this fund. BPIA appreciates it and our children will truly appreciate it!

A Few Good Men, Women and Children Needed

On April 23 and 24, we will be having the BIG community cleanup at the park. Our goal for those days will be to remove and replace the railroad fence, paint the Clubhouse, clean up the boater's parking pen to allow more parking, and plant new bushes and shrubs. We realize it's a lot of work, but we are confident that with your help, we can get it done. Let's beautify our community. Please volunteer to help make this possible. On Sunday, April 24th, we will offer a cookout to all the volunteers. Please contact at (410) 437-3564

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail

Our Easter Happening was a great success! In addition to having a great time, we raised $186.00 for the playground. “Thank You” to the Gordon's who donated $100.00 at the event. Your donation is greatly appreciated and needed.

A big “Bunny Hug” to Chris Van Valkenbergh who did a wonderful job coordinating the event. Thank you Chris for all of your hard work. Thanks to everyone who donated goodies and helped with this event. If you have photos of the event, please email them to so they can be posted on our web page. Oh! We can't forget to give a special “wink” to our very own Easter Bunny, great job!

Maryland Avenue Cleanup

Volunteers are needed on April 9th to help clean up Maryland Avenue. It has become a dumping ground. Volunteers are asked to meet at the home of Amanda Jerosimich — 161 Maryland Avenue at 9:00 a.m. Please wear long pants, boots, and bring gloves.

County Dumpsters

As mentioned in the last newsletter, BPIA will be getting a County community dumpster from April 23 thru April 25th. Please remember the following items CANNOT be placed in the dumpster:

The dumpster will be monitored by security, so please follow the rules.

Boater's Notes

The General Boaters meeting was held on March 7, 2005. The turnout was low, but we were able to get some things accomplished. First and foremost, we have contracted Pasadena Excavating and Paving to repave and widen the boat ramp. We are hoping to have the ramp done during the week of April 11th (weather permitting).

More Boating News

The following suggestion was presented and passed for this year:

We will issue five non-resident boat ramp keys. Each key will cost $200.00 and must be sponsored by a paying boat member. Keys will go fast, so call at (410) 437-3564 to apply for a key. Please note that all funds will go to the Boater's fund.
